We are well into the pressing season now with the trees in our main orchard delivering a fantastic crop of both cider apples and eating apples for juice. This years press for apple juice is now available to drink in the café with both sweet and sharp juices proving popular.
Pressing of the main crop cider apples will start next week and I am sure this years press will deliver a fantastic cider next year!

To help with the festivities Rob our cider maker has made a small quantity of the traditional festive drink elderberry port made with the elderberries in the hedge rows around our orchards. It is available to drink in only and goes on sale this Saturday the 14th December along with one of Alison’s delicious mince pies. First come first served!
A big thank you to all our customers at Pure North Cider and the Cider Press Café and Shop. It has been a vintage year in more ways than one. The fruit has been plentiful and the Café has gone from strength to strength since opening in May. This years press will be ready in early Summer 2014 and we will be launching some new varieties for you to try / buy at the café.

The Cider Press Cafe and shop will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am to 4pm and Friday to Sunday 10am to 6pm. We will be serving a range of delicious homemade hot and cold dishes and a selection of lovely snacks, nibbles and cakes to compliment our ciders, bottled beers, sulphite free wines, coffee, tea and our own juices.
In the shop we will have all our ciders and apple juices on offer, excellent bottled beers, wines, coffee, special cheeses, local preserves / pickles, local honey, our homemade cakes, bread on Friday and Saturday from the hand made bakery in Slaithwaite and our fresh organic vegetables when in season.
Join us for a tour of the orchard and cider house, taste up to five ciders and have a pint or bottle of your choice with a hot roast pork and apple roll(vegetarian option available) all for just £10, call in advance to make a booking, groups welcome.
The Cider Press Cafe and Shop launches on Saturday the 4th of May 2013! We will be having a celebration with a hog roast, a band, traditional May Pole dancing and a story teller for the children. The event starts at 12noon and finishes at 7pm, please come along and join us for what will be a great day.
The people behind the Port Street Beer House in Manchester have expanded out of the centre and opened a fantastic new establishment in Chorlton. The Beagle is a quality pub offering a wide range of drinks for the discerning customer. Valley Gold is available at the bar dispensed by hand pump and based on early sales it is proving very popular!
We are delighted to announce that the Cider Barn Cafe and Shop will be opening at the cider house in Spring 2013. We will be open Wednesday to Sunday offering light meals, drinks (including cider!) and a range of wholesome items from the shop. Watch the site for further updates.
