The Cider Press Cafe and shop will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am to 4pm and Friday to Sunday 10am to 6pm. We will be serving a range of delicious homemade hot and cold dishes and a selection of lovely snacks, nibbles and cakes to compliment our ciders, bottled beers, sulphite free wines, coffee, tea and our own juices.

In the shop we will have all our ciders and apple juices on offer, excellent bottled beers, wines, coffee, special cheeses, local preserves / pickles, local honey, our homemade cakes, bread on Friday and Saturday from the hand made bakery in Slaithwaite and our fresh organic vegetables when in season.

Join us for a tour of the orchard and cider house, taste up to five ciders and have a pint or bottle of your choice with a hot roast pork and apple roll(vegetarian option available) all for just £10, call in advance to make a booking, groups welcome.

The Cider Press Cafe and Shop launches on Saturday the 4th of May 2013! We will be having a celebration with a hog roast, a band, traditional May Pole dancing and a story teller for the children. The event starts at 12noon and finishes at 7pm, please come along and join us for what will be a great day.

Wassail 2012!

We celebrated apple day at the cider house and once again blessed the trees with a good old wassail ceremony! A great time was had by all with games for children, bangers and mash and plenty of that lovely juice from the apple! This year we asked everybody to make a donation to Candle Lighters (Children’s cancer charity) and we raised £350…

The people behind the Port Street Beer House in Manchester have expanded out of the centre and opened a fantastic new establishment in Chorlton. The Beagle is a quality pub offering a wide range of drinks for the discerning customer. Valley Gold is available at the bar dispensed by hand pump and based on early sales it is proving very popular!

We are delighted to announce that the Cider Barn Cafe and Shop will be opening at the cider house in Spring 2013. We will be open Wednesday to Sunday offering light meals, drinks (including cider!) and a range of wholesome items from the shop. Watch the site for further updates.

At the recent Pendle Winter Ales Beer Festival, our Deanhouse Dry cider was voted the best cider of the festival it was available along with a wide range of other ciders which were mainly from Southern producers.

More Perry Pears!

We have just completed another planting of Perry Pear varieties in the orchard. The varieties we have planted will take a while to fruit but we are sure it will be worth the wait. At the same time we have added a further 25 cider apple trees to the orchard.

Over the border in Ramsbottom, Valley Gold, Deanhouse Dry and Pure North Original are now on sale at the First Chop, Bolton St, Ramsbottom. The First Chop is a fantastic venue offering a range of quality ales and ciders.
